Syria crisis unsolvable without Kurds, Elham Ehmed tells Kurdpress
The co-leader of Syria Democratic Council told Kurdpress in a phone interview that no solution exists for the crisis in Syria as long as the Kurds are not a part of the solution.
Reiterating on the necessity of the return of peace to eastern Syria, Elham Ehmed stated the Kurdish forces cleansed the eastern part of the country from the Islamic State (IS) and the Kurds should be a part of the solution in the country.
She underscored that the only way to free people from extremism is the creation of a democratic federal system participated by all nationalities and religions and 'we have attempted to found the system in Syria in the past 8 years.'
