Iraq, KRG premiers meet in Munich

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and Nechirvan Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), met in Munich, Germany.

Their meeting was held on the sideline of Munich security conference.

According to reports the two sides are going to discuss tensions between Erbil and Baghdad as well as managing the Kurdish region’s airports, border gates and customs and the region’s share of 2018 national budget.

European officials reiterated in separate meetings with the two premiers on negotiation between Erbil and Baghdad in order to settle their differences.
