US envoy, Iraq National Security Advisor discuss upcoming Iraq elections
Iraq National Security Adviser Qassim al-Araji met with the US ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller on Monday, September 27, in Baghdad.
The two discussed strengthening the bilateral relationship between Iraq and the US, according to a press release from al-Araji's office.
The US ambassador reiterated his country's continued support for the Iraqi government in the areas of security and counterterrorism, and helping to overcome current challenges.
Iraq votes in parliamentary elections on October 10.
