KRG council halts Friday prayers in Sulaimani
The Kurdistan Region’s High Council of Fatwa’s branch in Sulaimani announced on Wednesday, March 4, that it will suspend this Friday’s prayer in Sulaimani and the surrounding areas following the death of a mullah from coronavirus.
“After the adhan (call to prayer), the preacher should call on people to do their prayers in their homes,” council member Ahmad Shafiee.
