Nechirvan Barzani meets Kurdistan Region parliament speaker and deputies
Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani met with Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament Rewaz Fayaq and her deputies Hemin Hawrami and Muna Qahwachi on Sunday, September 15.
According to a readout, they discussed legislative affairs, laws to solidify the constitutional status of the Kurdistan Region, relations between Erbil and Baghdad, and the protection of the Region’s constitutional rights.
NRT reported they also discussed efforts to promote cooperation between the Kurdistan Parliament and the Kurdish caucuses in the federal Council of Representatives, as well as the importance of good relations between the Kurdish caucuses in Baghdad.
They also talked about the government's reform agenda for the Region.
