PUK selects nominees for deputy PM, vice president

According to PUK-affiliated media, the party also selected Shorsh Ismail as its pick for Peshmerga affairs minister, Dara Rashid for higher education and scientific research minister, and Hama Hama Said for education minister.
The decisions were made during a meeting of the party’s Leadership Council on Saturday, July 6, in Sulaimani.
“Because we are running out of time, the PUK’s candidates will be designated for the new cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government,” Leadership Council member Mustafa Chawrash told NRT earlier Saturday.
KRG Prime Minister-designate Masrour Barzani was tasked with forming the new government by President Nechirvan Barzani on June 12 and has 30 days to do so.
