Nechirvan Barzani stresses on resolving disputes with Baghdad through negotiation
The President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, stressed in a meeting with Russia envoy to Baghdad on resolving tensions beween Erbil and the Iraqi central government through talks.
According to Rudaw Barzani met Maxim Maximov in Erbil on Wednesday July 17.
Maximov voiced Russian foreign minister's felicitation on Barzani's election as the president of the region.
The two sides underscored on boosting ties between Erbil and Moscow and resolving Erbil-Baghdad disputes.
Barzani stated the region is ready to settel the region's differences with Baghdad through dialogue and within Iraq constitution and a high-level delegation from the region is visiting Baghdad within the move.
