Abadi denies Iraq massacred Kurds after referendum

The Iraqi Prime Minister Hiader al-Abadi stated that his country has never massacred Kurds after the Kurdish people of the country voted on October 25, 2017, to secede from Iraq.

According to al-Ghertas News, Abadi said in a ceremony of al-Nasr Coalition gathering in Diyali, northern Iraq, that Baghdad’s control over the Kurdish-majority province of Kirkuk was without any oppression against its people, even the militants of the terrorist group of the Islamic State (IS).

He went on to add that he behaves with all people in Kurdistan Region as Iraqi citizens.
