Researcher warns about future of ties between Syrian Kurds and US

A researcher of Middle East affairs at Wilson Center warned about future of the ties between the US and Kurds in Syria and stated the main trouble in the relation between them is the lack of a clear policy by the US in Syria which has ended in the lack of trust among the Kurds in the country.

The US plans to quit Syria after five years of cooperation with the Syrian Kurds who have expressed their concern over the pullout as they are facing a dangerous Turkey military operation against the Kurds.

Dr. Amy Holmes, a researcher at Wilson Center, states in a panel in Washington over the situation of the Kurds and their future that the biggest problem of the Kurds is the lack of a united US strategy in Syria.

She stressed that it is still unknown how many forces the US would leave in Syria as Washington is making separate remarks in this regard.
