In a meeting with Counselor Department of Foreign Affairs chief, Shahbazi said: “As Kurdistan province is close to Kurdistan region provinces of Arbil and Sulaymaniyah, it is very important for foreign ministry to have an office in Sanandaj to boost ties between Kurdistan region and Islamic Republic of Iran.”

“The importance of having that office is doubled as there are direct flies from Sanandaj to both Tehran and Kurdistan region and there are also two important border crossings of Bashmaq and Sairan Band in Kurdistan province” he added.
