Iranian envoy meets Kurdistan Region parliament spokeswoman

The new Iranian Consul-General in Erbil Nasrollah Zar’a Rashnoudi on Wednesday, August 7, the Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament Rewas Fayaq.

Fayaq and Rashnoudi discussed Kurdistan’s historic ties with Iran and how to work together on “areas of mutual interest” including the economy and culture, according to a statement from Parliament.

NRT reported that the Iranian consul general also invited the members of the parliamentary presidency and lawmakers to make an official visit to the Iranian parliament in Tehran.
