Iraqi PM Abdul Mahdi says US and Iran do not want war
Neither the United States nor Iran want war and Iraq is in contact with both, Iraq’s state news agency INA quoted Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi as saying on Tuesday, May 14.
The conflict between Washington and Tehran is a “complex file” that Iraq is working hard to find solutions for, Abdul Mahdi said according to Reuters.
The US Embassy in Baghdad released a security alert for Iraq on Sunday due to “heightened tensions.”
