French foreign minister arrives in Erbil
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian arrived in the Kurdistan Region following his trip to Baghdad on Monday, February 12.
France’s foreign minister arrived in the region through Erbil International Airport at 6 p.m. on Monday, where he was welcomed by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister, Nechirvan Barzani.
Le Drian would hold talks with KRG premier Barzani, NRT reported.
The French minister visited Iraq on Monday to discuss the war-torn country's reconstruction with Iraqi officials after Baghdad declared victory against the Islamic State (IS).
