Turkish jets hit areas in Kurdistan Region
Turkish jets target the alleged bases of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the Iraqi northern region of Kurdistan.
The Turkish Air Forces have killed six militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) forces in a strike on northern Iraq, the military stated on Jan. 7.
According to a statement from the General Staff, the militants were planning an attack on military posts and bases, Hurriyet daily reported.
The “counter-terror operation” was conducted in the town of Kani Rash, the statement added.
