Iraqi jets bomb IS positions around Kirkuk
Iraq and anti-IS coalition jets hit the positions of the Islamic State (IS) around the city of Kirkuk in Kirkuk province, northern Iraq.
According to NRT, Iraq Ministry of Interior said in a statement that the jets hit the position of the terrorists in Abu Khanjar region in the province.
According to the statement 9 IS sleeping cells were destroyed in the bombardment and a number of bombs and ammunitions were seized from the group.
Security forces have arrested a number of IS members in the past weeks as the group remnants have increased their activities.
