Turkish warplanes conducted airstrikes on Wednesday, August 15, hitting suspected positions of an Yazidi armed group in Shingal, NRT reported.

One of the airstrikes hit an area near a military base of the Shingal Resistance Units (YBS), the report said.
Areas in south of Shingal also came under attack of the Turkish warplanes.
An YBS commander, Zardasht Sinjari, declined to give comments on the Turkish airstrikes in a phone conversation with the NRT reporter.
