Turkey jets hit areas in Kurdistan Region

Turkish fighter jets bombed suspected positions of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the Kurdistan Region’s Bradost region on Sunday, March 24.

According to NRT Turkish warplanes had bombed the Khwarkurk, Besok, and Malamala areas in the Bradost region in northeast of Erbil.

The report stated the airstrikes had caused damage to the agricultural fields of villagers in those areas.

The strikes came one day after Turkish fighter jets bombed Sharansh village in the district of Zakho, northwest of Duhok. Those strikes damaged several homes in the village.

Turkish artillery shelled Derishke village in the Amedi district on March 19 and Turkish warplanes bombed four villages in the foothills of Qandil Mountain on March 20. No casualties were reported in either incident.
