Iraqi protesters storm Najaf airport
Hundreds of protesters stormed Najaf airport in southern Iraq on Friday.
Flights have been suspended since the large number of protesters have arrived at the airport, media reports said.
BasNews reported earlier that protesters in the Shi’ite holy city of Najaf have taken to the streets to demand jobs and better public services.
The demonstrations started a week earlier in the oil-rich province of Basra, where dozens of casualties were reported after clashes between the people and the security forces.
