Syrian Kurds can establish democratic government system: US official

A US Congressman believes Kurds in Syria are able to establish a democratic governing system but the problem is Turkey as it sees the Kurds as terrorist.

Michael MacCul blamed the U.S. policies in Syria in a meeting at Enterprise U,S, think-tank, adding that Kurds in Syria can establish their own autonomous region as they have been capable US allies in the fight against the Islamic State (IS).

He further added despite the Kurds capability to form and run their region, Turkey is against Kurds in Syria and call them terrorists and makes the U.S. to take a neutral stance towards their demands, adding that the U.S. has decided not to play any role in the tension between the two sides.
