The two Kurdish politicians are in Erbil to intervene among Syria Kurdish parties ahead of the upcoming Geneva II conference and make grounds for the Kurdish parties to go to Geneva under a united delegation.

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Leader, Selahattin Demirtas had earlier said he is unaware of Layla Zana’s visit to Erbil and stated Ms. Zana’s visit is personal. Is this visit personal?

No, both our sister Layla Zana and Kak (the way Kurds call a man respectfully) Osman are in Erbil as representatives of BDP.

Have they launched their plans?

Yes, they are in a meeting with Kak Massoud Barzani in Selahattin (a summer camp in Erbil) and are planned to discuss the issue of Syria Kurds in detail and then hold meetings with all Syrian Kurdish parties.

Is Salah Muslim (PYD Leader) aware of the negotiations?

Kak Salih is planned to arrive in Erbil soon. Layla Zana and Osman Baydemir are to gather Syrian Kurdish parties, Salih Muslim and Massoud Barzani, and make plans about the decisions of Syria Kurds about Geneva II.

Is the date of the gathering set?

No, the negotiations are under way and the results will be announced soon.

Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Leader Ahmet Turk was used to head such attempts, why he didn’t travel to Erbil?

Kak Ahmet has entered municipality advertisements for in municipality elections and his plan in Mardin province has started. He was too busy to go to Erbil.
