PKK denies US ambassador claims
Qandil Mountains- Rejecting claims and accusations of U.S. ambassador to Turkey, Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), an umbrella organization of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), said the U.S. official should prove his comments through documents.

KCK leadership stressed Francis Ricciardone words are baseless and he should prove his speech that Syrian president Bashar al- Assad is arming PKK by the ammunition he receives from Iran.

The leadership underlined the U.S. ambassador is backing Turkey ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) policies.

The leadership further stressed PKK is an independent force and is cooperating with no state.

During a meeting with Turkey’s Minister of European Union Affairs, Laghman Bagis, Ricciardone claimed Iran is providing Assad with various weapons and the Syrian president distributes them among elements of PKK in Syrian.

Issuing a written statement, the Iranian embassy in Ankara denied the accusations and said they are targeting Iran’s reputation in the region and creates strife and disagreement between Tehran and Ankara.
