International Quds Day marked across Iran, including Kurdish cities
Tehran- Millions of Iranians across the country, including Kurdish regions, held rallies on Friday to mark the International Quds Day.
Shouting “Down with Israel”, “Down with the U.S.” hundreds of thousands of people poured into the streets of the capital, Tehran, and expressed their agony towards Israel for occupying Palestinian lands, Tehran Times said in a report.
In Tehran senior officials including the president, Expediency Council chairman, top Judiciary officials, cabinet ministers, ranking military commanders, and other dignitaries joined the rallies.
The International Quds Day, which falls on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, is intended to highlight the occupation of the Palestinian lands by Israel and show solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian nation.
All other cities of the country including Kurdish cities of Sanandaj, Kermanshah, Mahabad and etc. held the rally and marked the day that was also marked by many regional, European and the U.S. cities.
