Ahmadi Nejad and Gul discuss Syria and bi-lateral relations
Mecca- Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad and his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul discussed bilateral relations and Syria conflict in a meeting in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, in Wednesday night on the sideline of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit.

The Iranian president stressed on making reforms in Syria, however, citicised some regional states whose officials and kings slam Syria while their people do not welcome them, Fars news agency reorted.

“Iran will take all possible steps to make a stable, humanitarian situation in Syria to stop people from being killed.”

Ahmadi Nejad said: “The events will go past but we need to live together.”

Turkish president, for his part, said "we are pursuing our dreams and goals. We are not to rule but to be friends and take a step forward towards peace and tranquility."
