Arab league meeting on Syria postponed
Cairo- The Arab League said it had postponed a meeting of Arab ministers that was planned to be held on Sunday to discuss Syria crisis and appoint a replacement for former UN- Arab League envoy Kofi Annan.

Deputy Arab league chief said the meeting has been called off due to an operation undergone by Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister, Saud Al-Faisal.

Ben Helli said the ministers who had been due to meet in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, would set a new date for the meeting.

The postponement of the gathering comes two days ahead of Mecca emergency meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference on Tuesday.
