Kurdistan Region Presidency denounces PKK attack
Arbil- voicing its worry over fights between Turkey military and the rebels of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), the presidency of the Kurdistan Region in the north of Iraq condemned recent PKK attack on four Turkey military outposts in the southeastern Province of Hakkari that killed 8 turkey servicemen.

Citing the Presidency’s spokesman, Omid Sabbah, the website of the Kurdistan Region presidency voiced the northern region’s concerns over stoking of tensions and fights between Turkey forces and PKK.

The spokesman denounced the attack as anti-peace attempts that are not in the benefit of the Kurds and their democracy seeking efforts.

The spokesman said fight and war will make no gains but deepening tensions and hindering peace-making actions.

The Kurdistan Region has asked both sides of the fights to cease clashes and to open way for making peace.
