No trust in Erdogan despite Zana comment, BDP leader says
Turkey- Pro- Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirtas said Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is unable to solve Kurdish question in Turkey despite recent comments made by BDP Diyarbakir Deputy Layla Zana who said Erdogan, if wills, would solve the question.

“We are against Ms. Layla comments. they are her personal ideas that are not in line with our party’s strategy. We believe there is no trust in Erdogan since he tries to push his dictatorship ideas forward,” Demirtas told Taraf daily that had interviewed him a week ago.

Demirtas further said his party backs a democratic autonomy and went on underlining that ruling Erdogan-led Justice and Development Party (AKP) votes is the only way that forces the premier to take new steps.

He offered a three-point peace package to put an end to violence and fight in Turkey that includes; first charging anti-terror law and releasing PKK and KCK prisoners, second changing PKK jailed leader Abdullah Ocalan imprisonment situation and finally making a joint Turkey government- Kurds center to host all peace negotiations.

The BDP co-chair said Ocalan would immediately order PKK forces to move away from Turkey border if the package is accepted.

“Barzani (Kurdistan Region’s president Massoud Barzani) is unable to force PKK out of Qandil Mountains. Barzani and Talabani (Iraqi president Jalal Talabani) were in Qandil 15 years ago and are well aware that the mountains are impenetrable,” Demirtas answered the question what would happen if Barzani doesn’t let PKK militants’ remain in Qandil.
