Maliki and Muqtada al-Sadr to meet soon: official
Baghdad- A ruling State of Law Coalition official said on Friday that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and Sadr Movement leader Muqtada al-Sadr (criticizing Maliki policies in the recent months) will meet in a very near future.

“After phone calls between Sadr and Maliki, the two leaders are due to meet in a very near future to discuss Iraq’s Political crisis,” Aaad Mutalebi said and added the time of the meeting is not announced yet.

“There are reports that the two sides have concluded on some issues and an outstanding agreement is predicted,” Mutalabi said and added they have agreed to prioritize national benefits over party ends.

The official also added that the time of withdrawing trust vote is over and Iraqi leaders are better to cooperate to improve security situation in the country “ since withdrawing trust vote will put Iraq in a worse political situation.”
