Kurdish-Arab forces close to control IS command center in Raqqa: spokesman
The Spokesman for the Kurdish-Arab forces of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated that the forces are close to control the command center of the terrorist group of the Islamic State (IS) in Raqqa, northern Syria.

Talal Salo told AFP that the SDF forces have successfully controlled the old part of Raqqa, adding that the Kurdish-Arab forces are close to the command and security centers of the IS.

Another spokesman of the SDF forces, Mustafa Bali added that the forces have also controlled a new part of the city, calling the victories a present to the people of the city and stated that the biggest present is the full liberation of the city, known to be as the IS stronghold in Syria.

Salo stopped short of announcing the exact date of the liberation of the city, stating that the operation is going ahead as it had been planned.
