A member of the Iraqi parliament’s foreign relation commission claimed that there are political parties in Kurdistan Region, in the north of Iraq, and they would not allow the region and its President Masoud Barzani to hold the scheduled referendum.

According to al-Tejah Press Khaled al-Asadi told a press conference that Barzani’s stress on holding the referendum, scheduled for September 25, will hurt the interests of the region and its people.

Al-Asadi reiterated that all Iraqis are responsible in preventing the referendum to happen as it would hold the whole of Iraq.
