Referendum an attempt to export crises out of Kurdistan Region: deputy
A parliament deputy in the Iraqi Parliament reiterated his opposition to the Kurdistan Region referendum scheduled for September 25 and stated that it is an attempt by Kurdish officials to export the region’s crises.

Abdulrahim al-Shemri said in a statement that we repeat our opposition to the referendum at the present time because the leaders of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) are seeking to export the region’s crises out of the autonomous enclave.

According to al-Mawazin news the deputy added in his statement that holding the referendum in the regions that are officially a part of Nainawa province is unconstitutional and asked the Iraqi government to prevent such attempts in Nainawa.
