British Minister hails Iran status
British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt hailed Iran's status and urged Tehran and London to maintain cooperation to overcome possible obstacles.

Burt made the remarks Friday upon arrival at Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport.

According to IRNA he pointed to the upcoming oath-taking ceremony as a suitable opportunity to identify Iran's status in the region and the world and also to identify Tehran's stances on regional developments.

Burt arrived in Tehran today to participate in President Hassan Rouhani's swearing-in ceremony which is slated to be held on August 5 in Parliament.

Many heads of states and top officials from different countries have so far arrived in Tehran to participate in the event.

Rouhani was re-elected for a second term in office on May 19, for another four years, sweeping over 23 million or 57 percent of the votes.
