Council chief says YPG denied Russian offer to leave Efrin for Syrian forces
The chief of Efrin Military Council stated that the People’s Protection Units (YPG) has denied a Russian offer to quit the region of Efrin and allow the Syrian government to control it.

According to Kurdistan 24, Behjat Abdo added that Turkey attacks against the canton of Efrin, northern Syria, increased as Russia soldiers arrived in the canton and it was after the developments that Moscow asked The Democratic Union Party (PYD), the Kurdish party that includes the YPG, to leave the control of the canton to the Syrian government.

Reiterating that the YPG has refused the offer by Moscow, he added that Russia has promised the YPG to counter Turkish attacks if the YPG leaves the control of the canton to Damascus.
