U.S. won’t stay silent in case of using forces against Kurdistan: Barzani
Arbil- Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani said the U.S will not stay silent of forces are used against Kurdistan Region.

Kurdistan Region’s president Massoud Barzani has repeatedly warned about U.S. selling of F-16 Jets to present Iraqi government, led by premier Nouri- al- Maliki, and warned Maliki would apply the planes against Kurds in the north of Iraq.

“Kurdistan Region has entered the world’s oil map, so it is important. In the past forces were unfriendly to us but now they want to talk to us and have stakes in Kurdistan oil and gas,” Barzani said in an interview to local Kurdish Newspaper Hawlati.

According to the newspaper the Kurdish premier has labeled the U.S. as a good guarantee in face of problems especially with Baghdad’s government.

Kurdistan relationship with Iraq has entered a “danger Zone,” and the U.S has asked Iraqi leaders to solve problems in line with the constitution, Barzani further said.

Barzani also called relationship between his uncle Massoud Barzani and Iraqi president Jalal Talabani as “crucial at this moment,” but said they are united on Iraq’s issues.

Relations between Kurdistan and Iraqi presidents have downgraded in the recent months due to opposite ideas over withdrawing trust vote from Maliki and Kurdistan independent announcements by Massoud Barzani.
