Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is planned to visit the U.S. 6 days later and he is planned to meet Trump in Washington where the two presidents will discuss the war against the Islamic State and the Syrian civil war.

Foreign Policy has written that it expects Trump to continue his support to Kurds in Syria despite oppositions from Erdogan.
