We will not clash with PKK: Nechirvan Barzani
Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister stated that the region is not seeking to clash with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) to expel the forces from Shingal, northern Iraq.

Barzani had stated earlier that the region may use force to push the PKK out of the region.

Addressing a ceremony in Dohuk, a city in the region, the PM stated that Erbil is not seeking clash with the PKK or any other force or person.

He reiterated that the PKK helped people in Shingal in need and now it is time for the PKK to leave the city, warning that the presence of the forces leads into instability in the cit.

Barzani further expressed hope for solving tensions in the region and stated that the region has focused on the war against the IS for the past two years not what has been occurring in Kurdistan Region’s parliament.
