Russia calls for cyber co-op with Iran
Russian Federation’s Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications Nikolai Nikiforov called for cyber cooperation with Iran in electronic trade and software fields.

 “One of the main objectives of holding bilateral talks in Russia, Iran and international bodies is to prepare the grounds for Tehran-Moscow cooperation,” Nikiforov said in a Monday meeting with Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi in Moscow.

According to IRNA he added that both Iran and Russia are aware of the fact that today governments are not going to maintain their sovereignty without control on information.

Heading a delegation, Vaezi is in Moscow to develop bilateral ties and make the preparations for President Hassan Rouhani’s upcoming visit to Moscow.

During separate meetings with Nikiforov, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak and the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov, Vaezi reviewed Rouhani’s trip agenda.
