5 PKK killed in Bitlis
Bitlis province, Turkey- 5 Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) members, who refused to surrender, were killed in Tuesday clashes with Turkey police in the Tatran district of Bitlis province, TRT Haber reported.

The clashes occurred in the early hours of Tuesday. The operations are still continuing where some other PKK members have hidden in mountainous shelters.

Air and ground operations are still continued, Zaman daily reported.

The clashes are at a time that Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said weeks ago that his country would stop operations if PKK lays down its arms.
